File Number
A unique 8-digit number (the letter 'A' followed by 7 numeric digits) assigned by the FCC to an application when it is received.
Registration
Number
A unique 7-digit number issued by the FCC during the registration process that uniquely identifies an antenna structure. Once obtained, this number must be used in all filings related to the structure.
FAA Study
A unique number assigned by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) pertaining to an antenna site/structure. This number is issued during the processing of FAA Form 7640-1 "Notice of Proposed Construction or Alteration."
FAA Issue
Date
Date the FAA
issues a "final determination" for the site
/ structure identified in the FAA study.
Constructed
Date that
physical construction of the structure was completed.
EMI
The FAA's determination of no hazard to air navigation may be based on the assumption that transmitting equipment on an antenna structure meets only minimum FCC standards for spurious emissions. This means that prior to beginning any transmissions from the facility, there must be contact with the FAA spectrum management officer(s) to arrange procedures to verify that no interference is caused. There may be a need to deploy extra filtering or take other measures if transmission disrupts other services. The FCC requires its licensees to cooperate fully with other federal agencies to eliminate any harmful interference; therefore the FCC may issue a license, most frequently FM licenses, with the following special condition:
"Upon receipt of notification from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) that harmful interference is being caused by the licensee's transmitter, the licensee shall either immediately reduce the power to the point of no interference, cease operation, or take such immediate corrective action as necessary to eliminate the harmful interference. This condition expires after one year of interference-free operation."
NEPA
The National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA). If an environmental assessment is required under NEPA for a proposed antenna structure construction or alteration, the FCC will not issue a Registration until the environmental concerns are analyzed and a "finding of no significant impact" is issued to the owner by the FCC. The owner is responsible on the FCC Form 854 filing to indicate when there is an environmental concern with the structure site they are registering and is required to submit a copy of the environmental assessment for FCC review.

Status
The rescinding of an existing granted (but not constructed) registration at the request of the owner. This occurs, for example if the owner has abandoned plans to build an antenna structure or has decided not to complete planned modifications.
A "dismantled" structure was constructed but no longer exists. This status is distinct from cancelled because the planned construction or modification did actually take place, but the structure was subsequently taken down.
The approval of a registration application by the FCC. This status designates those antenna structures that are not yet built or planned modifications/alterations to a structure have not yet been completed.
An action by the FCC to rescind an existing registration.
For example, if the owner inadvertently registers the
same antenna structure twice and obtains two
registrations, the FCC may terminate the duplicate
registration.
Purpose
A new antenna registration.
Modification or alteration of an existing registered antenna structure.
Cancellation of a granted antenna structure registration not yet constructed or altered.
A request to change administrative data (Owner or Contact Representative information) on an antenna structure registration.
Notification that the existing, constructed antenna structure was taken down.
Withdrawal of a previously filed, currently pending application.
Request to amend a previously foiled, currently pending application.
Notification to the FCC that the proposed construction or alteration has been completed as registered.
Request for a duplicate antenna structure registration authorization.
Notification of a change of ownership for a registered antenna structure.
Mode
Application was filed using ULS Online Filing.
Application was filed manually on a paper application form and data-entered in the ULS by FCC staff.
Application was uploaded to the system as part of a batch file.
Received
Date on which the Last Action Status was received by the FCC.
Entered
Date on which the Last Action Status was entered into record by the FCC.

Location
Coordinates are given in NAD83 format. Convert from NAD27 allows you to convert NAD27 (North American Datum 1927) coordinates to NAD83 (North American Datum 1983) coordinates. To access the conversion software, known as NADCON,

here.
http://www.fcc.gov/wtb/uls/utilities/nadcon.html
The exact geographic location of the structure in degrees (e.g., 42º), minutes (e.g., 13'), and seconds (e.g., 10"), both latitude and longitude.
The city and state in which the structure is located.
Each applicable antenna structure within an AM broadcast array must be registered individually with the FCC. In most cases, however, antenna structure arrays are studied by the FAA using a single set of coordinates representing the "center" of the array or possibly the structure closest to a nearby airport facility. Thus, the coordinates referenced by the FAA in its "determination" for an array may differ from the site coordinates of the antenna structures within the array. Often, antenna structures within the same array are assigned different painting and/or lighting specifications.
Heights
- Elevation
of Site Above Mean Sea Level
The elevation (ground level) of the structure site above mean sea level. Height is displayed in meters.
- Overall
Height Above Mean Sea Level
The overall structure height above mean sea level (AMSL). Height is displayed in meters. This height is the sum, of the Elevation of Site Above Mean
Sea Level and the Overall Height Above Ground Including Appurtenances (AGL). Height is displayed in meters.
- Overall
Height Above Ground (AGL)
The overall height above ground (AGL) of the entire antenna structure to the highest point, including any appurtenances. Height is displayed in meters.
- Overall
Height Above Ground w/o Appurtenances
The height above ground to the highest point of the supporting structure only (without appurtenances). Height is displayed in meters.
Painting
and Lighting Specifications
The painting and/or illumination may be recommended for antenna structures that may otherwise constitute a menace to air navigation. The most common lighting option is the use of light units in specific intensities, beam patterns, color and flash rates approved by the FAA. Chapters of FAA code and the corresponding FAA Advisory Circular number applicable to the structure are given here. The painting and/or illumination of antenna structures may also be specified by FCC paragraph numbers or letters from the FCC Form 715/715A.

Owner
& Contact Information
|
FRN
The Owner FCC Registration Number (FRN) is a 10-digit number that is assigned by the Commission Registration System (CORES) to an entity doing business with the FCC. Each registered entity will have a unique FRN that is used to identify the entity's business dealings with the FCC. The FCC will use the FRN to determine if all of an entity's fees have been paid for application filings requiring a fee.
You are encouraged to register through the FCC's Internet CORES web site as soon as you expect to do business with the FCC. This way, you will be ready to access any of the electronic licensing systems without having to go through the registration process at the time you submit an application.
Licensee ID
A unique 9-digit number (the letter 'L' followed by 8 numeric digits) assigned by the FCC to represent the Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) of the individual or business entity who filed the application.
Owner
Person primarily responsible for:
- registering the antenna structure with the FCC
- maintaining the painting and lighting of the antenna structure in accordance with the Commission's Rules
- notifying the Commission of any changes in height, coordinates, ownership, painting, or lighting of the structure; and
- notifying the Commission upon dismantling the structure
Contact
Person designated by the owner as the primary point of contact in matters regarding the structure.
