License Search Help
Market-Based Search

The Market-Based License Search will find any market-based license. Choose from a range of search criteria, which include all the fields available in ULS Advanced License Search (see Advanced License Search Help for more information) and the following Market-Based Criteria:

Market Area Type
Each market is defined by a geographical area and is always made up of one or more counties. Examples are MTA, BTA, MEA, EA, etc.

Code
Each market is defined by a geographical area and is always made up of one or more counties. Examples are MTA, BTA, MEA, EA, county, etc. Search for the code, which contains the market area abbreviation and a number. For example, MTA 001 is the New York MTA. Note: Each code is 3 digits except for counties, which are 5 digits.

Submarket
Search on the numerical code for the submarket if the market area has been subdivided.

Channel Block
Search by the letter or number of the channel block, e.g. A, B, DD, etc.

Radio Service Code
Search by the 2-letter code assigned to the wireless service issued within the Universal Licensing System (ULS). Click here for a complete listing of Radio Services and their two letter codes.

Auction
Search by the number and title of the auction (e.g., Auction 10 Broadband PCS).

Frequencies
If you require frequencies within a market area, select Any Frequency, an exact frequency in megahertz, or a range of frequencies in megahertz.
