ULS Browser Requirements

To use the ULS, your computer must be configured with an Internet web browser. The following web browsers have been tested and are compatible with the ULS:

In addition, you must install Adobe Acrobat Reader as a plug-in to your web browser.

All of these products can be downloaded free of charge. Follow the instructions below to access the download sites and prepare to use ULS.

1. Click the underlined link below and follow the specific download and installation instructions provided at the download site.

2. Configure your browser to Enable Java, Enable Java Script, and Accept all Cookies.  

In Mozilla Firefox, select the Add-ons Manager tab:
  • Click on the menu button and choose Add-ons. The Add-ons Manager tab will open.
  • In the Add-ons Manager tab, select the Plugins panel
  • Click on the Java(TM) Platform plugin to select it.
  • If Java is disabled, click on Never Activate to open its drop-down menu and select the option to activate Java. The recommended (default) option is Ask to Activate, which lets you run Java when prompted.
 
In Internet Explorer,  
  • Click Tools and then Internet Options.
  • Select the Security tab, and select the Custom Level button.
  • Scroll down to Scripting of Java applets.
  • Make sure the Enable radio button is checked.
  • Click OK to save your preference.

 

3. Next download and install Adobe Acrobat Reader as a plug-in to your web browser. The plug-in provides a viewer for displaying files related to applications, such as attachments and exhibits. For best results, install the plug-in after you have installed the desired web browser. This will allow the plug-in to be fully integrated within the browser window.

Click Adobe Acrobat Reader and follow the download and installation procedures provided at the Adobe download site.
