Filing Attachments

The Attachments window enables you to electronically file attachments with your application. You can perform the following functions from the Attachments window:

Upload Attachment File
List Existing Attachments
Delete Existing Attachments

When you are finished with Attachments, click the Close button to proceed with your application.

Upload Attachment File

Follow the procedures below to electronically file an attachment (or exhibit) with your application. Please review the list of valid File Formats prior to uploading attachment file(s).

1. On the Attachments screen, click the down arrow at the end of the Attachment Type field to access a menu of attachment types. Select the desired attachment type from the menu.

 

2. Identify the attachment file that you are uploading:
  • If you know the full path and file name of your upload file, type it into the File Name field.

OR

  • Click the Browse button to locate the file in your local file system. A File Upload window appears asking you to indicate the location of your attachment file. Click the down arrow in the Files of Type field and select All Files (*.*) from the drop-down menu. Browse the contents of your file system to locate the attachment file. Highlight the name of the upload file and click the Open (Windows 95) or OK (Windows 3.1) button. The full path and file name are inserted into the File Name field.

Note: Please do not upload any password-protected files as attachments.

 

3. Enter a description identifying the attachment into the File Description field. If the application is for an auctioned service, identify the attachments according to instructions provided in the Public Notice for the auction.

 

4. Click the Upload button.

 

5. A screen appears indicating the status of your file upload. If the upload failed, try to upload the file again. If the upload continues to fail, contact ULS Technical Support for more assistance.

Click the Return button to return to the Attachments screen.

Repeat the steps above for each additional attachment file.

 

6. Click the Close button after all desired Attachments have been uploaded.

List Existing Attachments

This function enables you to view the existing attachments for the application. Click the List button to display a list of the attachments currently included with the application. Attachments are listed by the attachment type, the date the attachment was uploaded, and the description that was entered when the attachment was uploaded.

You may also view attachments from the List screen. To view an attachment, click the file name link under the Contents heading. Recently uploaded attachment files experience a short processing delay prior to appearing on the List screen. Wait a few minutes, then click the browser Reload button to refresh the list of attachments. An attachment is available for viewing once its filename appears underlined in the Contents column.

Note: You must have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed with your web browser to view Attachments.

Exit the Adobe Acrobat attachment window when you are finished viewing the attachment.

When you have finished viewing your attachment files, click the Return button.

Delete Existing Attachments

You can delete previously uploaded attachments prior to submitting your application. Click the List button to display a list of the attachments currently included with the application.

To delete an attachment, first select the attachment by clicking on the check box located on the left side of each attachment listing. A check mark appears in the check box, indicating that the attachment is selected. Select all of the attachments you wish to delete and click the Delete Selected button.

To delete all of the attachments on the list, click the Delete All button.

Note: There is no "Undo" function when deleting attachments. If you inadvertently delete an attachment, you must upload the attachment file again.

When you have finished viewing/deleting attachments, click the Return button.
